Book Blogger Hop! (4)

It's Friday! Which means that it's time for the Book Blogger Hop! Yay! Just in case you didn't know, the Hop is an awesome weekly event hosted by Jennifer at Crazy For Books!

“What is your favorite spooky book (i.e. mystery/suspense, thriller, ghost story, etc.)?”

To be honest I am kind of a newbie to the "horror" genre. For the longest time I was a big baby and was too afraid to read anything "scary". This year is when I decided to get over that and started reading books out of my comfort zone. I have to say as of right now the creepiest book I have read so far and loved has to be Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick. I recently did a review on it too for my Halloween themed month and I totally recommend it.

What are your favorite horror books?

  1. Oh I didn't realise Ashes was a creepy book! I'm tempted to pick it up faster now. If only I wasn't on a book ban.

  2. I'm like you. I've grown into a big baby when it comes to scary books. I can handle Middle Grade or maybe YA horror books but that's about it, aha. Happy reading.

  3. Haha I'm the same way. My creepy book probably isn't all that creepy to anyone else, but there you go ;)

  4. I'm SO glad to find another ASHES fan! I love, love, love that book. Bick's other novel, DRAWING THE DARK is creepy, too, but in a different sort of way. If you haven't read it, you definitely should.

Glad to have found you via the Hop!
