Follow Friday! (3)

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly meme created by Parajunkee and co-hosted by Alison Can Read where bloggers hop around meeting and following other bloggers. This week's featured bloggers are Drying InkPendantic Phooka

Q: Have you ever wanted a villain to win at the end of a story? If so, which one?

A: Frankenstein! I wanted the monster to win in that book. That's the only one I can really think of. Usually if I end up liking a villain it is because the protagonist seems under developed. I consider it a flaw when I am reading but luckily I haven't run into that often!

  1. Hi!--New follower!

GREAT answer!!!--I totally agree!!!--I was just rereading Frankenstein last year, and Victor is SO much more a monster than the creature!!!

--As for me, I usually root for the good guy, but I've been reading A Game of Thrones, and as much as I <3 the Starks, I can't help but root for Tyrion!--It's not his fault he was born a Lannister!

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Hi Kat, new follower hopping by! :)

Dang it, I haven't read Frankenstein! I think it's sitting on my bookshelf somewhere though... I have been so into my YA fiction lately, that I haven't had time for the classics, but someday I am going to return to them ;)

You can see my FF answer for this week at the link below-- would love if you stopped by!

  6. Grey vs grey conflicts (A Game of Thrones, for one!) also make me sympathise with antagonists, but I see what you mean... Thanks for stopping by over at Drying Ink! I'm following back.

  7. Nice answer! Though didn't Frankenstein kind of win--wasn't he still alive at the end? I can't remember! I read that so long ago! :)

  8. Oh I was forced to do Frankenstein for English and like all books studied at school, all the joy was sucked out it! That and Romeo and Juliet have forever been ruined for me :(
Thanks for the follow, following back!
